Czech Republic and Senegal
So in two days we are flying to the Highlands in Scotland for half term. The idea of long walks immersed in the wonderful Scottish scenery followed by hot tea and cakes back at the hotel seemed fabulous a few months ago but looking at the weather forecast, we are slightly less excited. Basically it'll be between 0 and 4 degrees (which is fine) and rainy all day every day 😓.
Many of you have been smarter I'm sure and chose to go skiing - I hope you'll get blue skies and fresh crispy white snow, to a sunny island - or staying home to save money for a bigger longer holidays later. You are smarter than us!
Meanwhile two accounts I follow on Insta have been showing great pictures of sun and barefoot in the sand in Senegal. The two places they stay at look really nice so I'm listing them below.
One thing I know for sure is that my reading time will greatly improve in Scotland and that's always a win!

Razzett Peprina Ben and Sue are lovely readers of the blog who also own a 400 year old family house with a rooftop pool in Malta. Have a look!
Patrick's Lodge, Senegal: a hotel and private house on the beach with kids activities and a 25 meters swimming pool.
Kinkeliba Loge, Senegal; just opened, this down to earth hotel and restaurant is on the island of Marlodj, 1h30 from the new Blaise airport. It also has a pool and games for children.
Safe and beautiful travels,
