La Rentrée vibes...
Between post holiday blues and eagerness to get back to it - and my usual 5 new addresses if you want to immediately go away again! #59

Hello everyone, how have you been? Did you have a great summer?
You may have followed some of my holiday on Instagram and via the posts I published in the chat on Substack. If not, a little recap: we spent three days in Provence at the marvellous Crillon Le Brave hotel and then 10 days in Cap Ferret, where we rented a house and welcomed friends and families.
I will share my review of the hotel and my itinerary recommendations for Cap Ferret in future newsletters.
I had the holiday blues when we came back as we only went away for two weeks. Usually we add a third remote working week, which allows us to still enjoy the holiday spirit in the morning and in the evening at each end of the work day but we couldn’t do it this year. And work was immediately very busy, no quiet August month for us!
In a way it did help me to get back in the rythm and now that “la rentrée” /back to school is there, I am ready to embrace the refreshed energy and the sense of new beginnings that it brings.
I always loved La Rentrée as I loved school - yes I know, weirdo!- the smell of new stationery, the questions over which friends would be in my class, how the teachers would be…. it’s of course a bit different now as a professional but I’m determined to take it as an encouragement to achieve my goals in the last four months until the end of the year.
How do you feel about la Rentrée? Excited, relieved, depressed, energised? Let me know and if you have any tips on how to tackle it for others, do share in the comments.
