Feeling like a slacker this week... but ploughing on
Managed to get back on the saddle and to list some new places for you. #71
To be honest, it’s been a bit of a drag to prepare that newsletter this week!
That’s the issue with skipping one week, as I did last weekend, you kind of lose the rythm. I experienced the same with my running. I used to go every other day and do a longer run at the weekend but with work and the darker mornings, I let that slip. I manage only two runs a week on average and it doesn’t feel very good.
See, I am getting to the end of a very intense work period, which started in mid-August and will end at the beginning of December really. We had three massive projects, actually make it four, that have been very intense, pretty strategic, pretty high level.
My team has been fantastic and they did a fab job, I’m lucky to have them but we all worked very hard.
So it’s been difficult to find the time and the energy to do much more. I'm just now feeling like it’s going to ease up and we can look forward to a more normal rhythm and a holiday season.
Here in the UK, people start getting excited about Christmas very early, too early for me, I think you have to wait for December, but we already have all the decorations, all the Christmas adverts, people are busy already planning their Christmas parties, dinners, lunches, etc…
It’s another kind of business but a fun one. I am looking forward to spending most of my energy meeting friends, going back to my family and, yes, running more often and writing this newsletter on schedule!
I listed below my usual 5 extra finds and I added the list of new openings for my paid subscribers - thank you again so much to those who support me that way. Let me know if there are themes you’d like me to cover for the comings weeks.
Have a good week
